What’s Next? Ten Thoughts

Posted by Mike Madison · November 3rd, 2004 · 2 Comments

1. John Edwards is de facto the head of the Democratic Party, and the leader of the opposition. He should start acting like it.
2. John Kerry’s career as an elected politician is over.
3. I want to see and hear more of Teresa Heinz Kerry.
4. The peaceful militarization of American politics will, and should, intensify.
5. Be thankful if you have daughters, and no sons.
6. If Arnold Swarzenegger were a Democrat, would you vote for him?
7. How about those States’ Rights, anyway? Blue states can fight federal policy in ways that Red states won’t.
8. As an economist might say, “Tiebout, or not Tiebout?”
9. I am now and always will be a card-carrying member of the reality-based community.
10. It’s evening in America.

No. I don’t agree and don’t really support Edwards as the party leader. I was kind of thinking that I want Dodd to step up…Of course, he’s failing, so that leaves Kerry still as the #1…
