Italian Food and Public Policy

Posted by Mike Madison · September 28th, 2005 · 1 Comment

In a curious development, public policy critiques based on Italian food have begun to proliferate. In response to “intelligent design,” we have Pastafarianism, based on the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. As a check on the expansion of intellectual property rights, we now have Ed Felten’s Pizzaright Principle.

Coincidence?

I read the Pizzaright principle you mentioned in your entry. I also don’t agree with that proposition. I think even the Italians, who invented the pizza wouldn’t. They would want everybody to make and eat this delicious food.
