Blogging and Efficient Markets

Posted by Mike Madison · October 10th, 2006 · No Comments

My colleague Peter Oh pointed me to this report:

The chief executive of Sun Microsystems. Jonathan I. Schwartz, has asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to allow companies to disclose significant financial information through their blogs.

More information, more ways makes markets more efficient . . . or less? Is blog-based dissemination “broad” within the meaning of the securities laws?
