Today our papers states that he says that" he needs to stay". How selfish! We need him to leave! He should go quietly and give our school a chance to heal. I heard people laughing at a social event the other night saying that WVU will soon be giving drive thru degrees! More West Virginia bashing will come from Garrisons digging in his heels. Will this be the school parents will choose for their sons and daughters? Mike Garrison was a successful lobbyist and many of us who are WVU alumni think he should go back to that career, as soon as possible. President Garrison has not only shown contempt for the faculty and lied to the public. The student newspaper also called for his resignation. How can a university president hope to be an effective leader when his core constuencies reject him? For good and ethical reasons. Steve Goodwin has so far supported Mike Garrison.
