I just came back from a week in Amsterdam (more posts later on what I was doing) and wanted to put up a quick link to my favorite IP tidbit. It’s better than learning that Rembrandt and Van Gogh were, in today’s parlance, pirates!
The image, taken by someone else, captures the front of a t-shirt that I saw and brought home to share with my Trademark Law students. To get the point, understand that one of Amsterdam’s most famous tourist attractions is the Red Light District, where nearly-naked prostitutes stand behind full-height windows at street level, framed by heavy red curtains and red lights (naturally!).
