Susan Crawford makes a connection that I explore at needless length in a recent manuscript (and in a number of blog posts, most recently this one). In his recent “Einstein’s Clocks, Poincare’s Maps: Empires of Time,” Peter Galison calls it the “propinquity of things and thoughts.”
