Professor Arthur D. Hellman has praised retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra O’Connor for publicizing possible threats to judicial independence, but he also warned that overstating the threats may actually make the judiciary more vulnerable. Professor Hellman presented his views in his inaugural lecture as Sally Ann Semenko Endowed Chair at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Professor Hellman was introduced by Provost James V. Maher. A full account of the lecture can be found at this link: http://tinyurl.com/33hm9u
