2014: Nothing Very Interesting From the Madison/Marquesen Family.
Let us explain. No, as Inigo Montoya (The Princess Bride) said, there is too much. Let us sum up.
Mike - continuing at Pitt's law school. Published a book. Traveled a lot. Was awarded the Yale Medal.
Susan - still volunteering as a Penn State Master Gardener and Master Food Preserver. Helped lead the development of an "Iron Garden Walk," an educational public garden at the Carrie Furnace in Rankin, Pennsylvania, part of the Rivers of Steel National Historic Site. Returned to professional life in partnership with friends at The Permanente Medical Group in Oakland, California.
Kate - still living at home, still working at the Penguin Bookshop, volunteering at Sunnyhill (the Unitarian Universalist Church of the South Hills), at the Heinz History Center, and at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. Considering her next move.
Dave - graduated summa cum laude from Pitt. Likely going back for a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Also living at home.
Everyone is pretty healthy and happy, and we're grateful for that. We got around again in 2014: New York; Philadelphia; New Haven; Chicago; Los Angeles; San Francisco and surrounding areas; Cleveland; Denver; Munich; and Copenhagen.
