This just in: All over the country yesterday, law-abiding citizens exercised their rights under the Copyright Act to watch lawfully-made copies of Eyes on the Prize in their own homes and in the company of their friends and colleagues. Wired News has the details, which include the fact that many hosts of yesterday’s screenings checked copies out of libraries.
As I noted before, in a slightly different context, people should save their righteous indignation for situations where the law doesn’t let them do things that they ought to be able to do.
