Jotwell Under Way

Jotwell, the “Journal of Things We Like (Lots),” has been incubating for a long time, and at last it’s alive, thanks to the persistence of Michael Froomkin and lots of support from the University of Miami, including students there.

Jotwell is an effort to look at the mass of new legal scholarship and highlight books and papers that deserve to be highlighted.   “Jotwell has only one mission: to bring to readers’ attention great recent scholarship related to the law,” as Michael writes, but there is more; Jotwell is part law review, part blog.

Check it out here.
Mike Carroll and I both have short pieces in the inaugural version that went live today; madisonian.net team members Frank Pasquale and Ann Bartow are also among the “contributing editors.”

And don’t forget to check out Jotwell schwag. In the 21st century, no new venture is complete unless you can say that you’ve been there, done that, and got the t-shirt.
