Legal Issues and User-Generated Content

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to participate in a discussion hosted by American University’s Washington College of Law, and co-sponsored by AU’s Center for Social Media, on copyright issues (fair use, host liability, and so on) surrounding what some people call “user-generated content.”  “Participatory media” is another phrase that describes the same phenomenon.

That meeting generated a brief report, which is now available for download at the Center for Social Media website.  Take a look.
